Tim Dumas

Timothy Dumas brings 29 years of U.S. government security and law enforcement experience to the role of Senior Vice President, Edgeworth Global Services. As a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, his impeccable 29-year career was powered by a record of consistent success in enabling secure global operations for the government and private sector throughout the world.

Tim served as the Minister Counselor for Diplomatic Security and Senior Regional Security Officer, U.S. Embassy, Mexico City, Mexico, where he was responsible for 3,300 U.S. government employees and facilities in 20 cities. Tim designed and implemented programs that ensured well-protected, efficient, and effective government operations. In addition, he coordinated U.S. law enforcement activity throughout Mexico, led security cooperation efforts with the Government of Mexico, and was the senior security and law enforcement advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. He routinely served in other capacities to include Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, Chargé d’Affairs, and Public Sector Chair of the Mexico City Overseas Security Advisor Council (OSAC).

Tim’s leadership roles included Special Agent in Charge, Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), New York Field Office, where he led criminal investigations and protective operations for U.S. Government and foreign officials across four states. He led security planning for major events such as the United Nations General Assembly and supported European operations of the U.S. private sector as the Chair of the OSAC European Regional Council. As the Diplomatic Security Liaison to the U.S. European Command, Tim advised senior military leadership on emergency operations, crisis management, personnel recovery, counterterrorism, and was entrusted with improving U.S. military capabilities in evacuating American Citizens.

Tim’s longevity with the U.S. Department of State has enabled him to travel and work in many countries; tackle and resolve numerous high-stakes security and operational challenges—many of which have been historical and without a playbook. His leadership roles in the State Department’s Office of Protective Intelligence Investigations and Protective Liaison Division, along with assignments in Warsaw, Caracas, Jakarta, and Istanbul, has provided Tim a deep understanding of global security operations in every environment.
